Job Summary
Trinity General Contracting Pros is seeking an experienced, licensed electrical professional to develop, launch, and lead our Electrical Division throughout the State of Georgia. This is a unique leadership opportunity for a highly skilled individual who is passionate about building a premier electrical division while mentoring and developing the next generation of skilled trades professionals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the Electrical Division from the ground up, including developing operating procedures, quality standards, estimating systems, training programs, and field operations. In addition to overseeing electrical installations and service work, this individual will design and lead Trinity General Contracting Pros' Skilled Trades Development Program, providing structured classroom and hands-on training that prepares new employees for successful careers in the electrical industry and helps them meet the experience and knowledge requirements necessary to pursue Georgia electrical licensing and career advancement opportunities.
This position requires travel throughout the State of Georgia.
Essential Responsibilities
Division Leadership
- Develop, launch, and manage Trinity General Contracting Pros' Electrical Division.
- Create company standards, operating procedures, quality control systems, and safety policies.
- Develop estimating procedures, labor standards, pricing structures, and production schedules.
- Build, recruit, supervise, and mentor a team of electricians, apprentices, and support staff.
- Work with executive leadership to establish long-term growth strategies for the Electrical Division.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable federal, state, and local codes, including the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Provide technical leadership on residential remodeling, new construction, commercial construction, disaster recovery, and specialty electrical projects.
Skilled Trades Workforce Development
- Design, implement, and lead Trinity General Contracting Pros' Skilled Trades Development Program for electrical apprentices.
- Develop comprehensive classroom instruction and hands-on training curriculum.
- Mentor and coach apprentices through structured on-the-job learning.
- Evaluate trainee performance and maintain training documentation.
- Assist employees in gaining the knowledge, experience, and practical skills necessary to pursue Georgia electrical licensing and long-term career advancement.
- Promote professionalism, safety, craftsmanship, and continuous education throughout the organization.
Field Operations
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial electrical systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and specifications.
- Install electrical panels, breakers, feeders, branch circuits, lighting systems, generators, transfer switches, surge protection, and specialty electrical equipment.
- Diagnose electrical failures using appropriate testing equipment.
- Ensure all installations comply with applicable codes and manufacturer specifications.
- Complete accurate inspection reports, service documentation, and project records.
- Support estimating and project management teams with technical expertise.
Customer Relations
- Develop strong relationships with homeowners, commercial clients, project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors.
- Explain electrical systems, repair options, and code requirements in a professional manner.
- Maintain Trinity General Contracting Pros' commitment to exceptional customer service and quality workmanship.
Qualifications
- Current Georgia Electrical Contractor License or other applicable Georgia electrical licensure required.
- Minimum five years of progressively responsible electrical installation and service experience.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Experience training apprentices or developing workforce programs is highly desirable.
- Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), Georgia building codes, and electrical safety standards.
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction documents.
- Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Valid Georgia Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Willingness to travel throughout Georgia.
- Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform the physical demands of the trade.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing an electrical department or service division.
- Experience designing apprenticeship or workforce development programs.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
- Generator installation certification.
- Experience with residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical systems.
- Strong estimating and project management experience.
