Job Summary

Trinity General Contracting Pros is seeking a highly motivated, licensed HVAC professional to develop, launch, and lead our HVAC Division throughout the State of Georgia. This is a leadership opportunity for an experienced professional who is passionate about building a successful service division while mentoring the next generation of skilled trades professionals.

The successful candidate will oversee all HVAC operations, establish company standards, develop estimating and installation procedures, ensure code compliance, and lead a comprehensive Skilled Trades Training Program designed to prepare new employees for successful careers in the HVAC industry.

This individual will play a key role in recruiting, training, mentoring, and developing technicians while helping Trinity General Contracting Pros become one of Georgia's premier residential and commercial HVAC contractors.

This position requires travel throughout the State of Georgia.

Essential Responsibilities

Division Leadership

  • Develop, launch, and manage Trinity General Contracting Pros' HVAC Division.

  • Create operating procedures, quality standards, safety protocols, and best practices.

  • Develop pricing structures, estimating procedures, labor standards, and production schedules.

  • Build and supervise a team of HVAC technicians, installers, apprentices, and support staff.

  • Assist executive leadership with strategic planning, budgeting, equipment purchases, and long-term growth initiatives.

  • Ensure all HVAC work complies with Georgia licensing requirements, manufacturer specifications, local building codes, and industry standards.

  • Provide technical leadership for residential remodeling, new construction, disaster recovery, and commercial projects.

Skilled Trades Workforce Development

  • Design, implement, and lead Trinity General Contracting Pros' Skilled Trades Development Program.

  • Develop classroom and hands-on training curriculum for new employees entering the HVAC trade.

  • Mentor apprentices through structured on-the-job training and classroom instruction.

  • Prepare employees for advancement within the company and assist them in meeting the qualifications necessary to pursue Georgia HVAC licensing requirements and career advancement opportunities.

  • Evaluate trainee performance and maintain training records.

  • Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, craftsmanship, and continuous learning.

Field Operations

  • Install, diagnose, service, maintain, and repair residential and commercial HVAC systems.

  • Troubleshoot heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment.

  • Repair or replace defective motors, compressors, electrical components, controls, thermostats, duct systems, refrigerant lines, and associated equipment.

  • Test electrical circuits using appropriate diagnostic equipment.

  • Test refrigerant piping and tubing for leaks using approved methods.

  • Charge and recover refrigerants in accordance with EPA regulations.

  • Service heat pumps, furnaces, air handlers, mini-split systems, package units, rooftop units, chillers, and geothermal systems.

  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections.

  • Complete accurate service documentation and inspection reports.

Customer Relations

  • Build lasting relationships with homeowners, commercial clients, and project managers.

  • Clearly explain repair options, maintenance recommendations, and system improvements.

  • Maintain Trinity General Contracting Pros' reputation for professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

  • Current Georgia Conditioned Air Contractor License (Class I or Class II preferred).

  • EPA Universal Certification.

  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible HVAC installation and service experience.

  • Previous experience supervising technicians or managing field operations.

  • Experience developing or conducting technical training programs is strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial HVAC systems.

  • Knowledge of Georgia Mechanical Code, International Mechanical Code (IMC), and applicable building codes.

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.

  • Valid Georgia Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

  • Ability to travel throughout Georgia.

  • Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, crawl, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building or managing an HVAC department.

  • Experience developing apprenticeship or workforce development programs.

  • Certifications from major HVAC manufacturers.

  • Experience with Manual J, Manual D, and Manual S load calculations.

  • Experience estimating residential and commercial HVAC projects.

  • Knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC technologies and indoor air quality systems.

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification.
